Eureka Forbes at Mumbai Marathon 2011

For the 8th successive year Eureka Forbes participated in the ‘Dream Run’ at the Mumbai Marathon 2011. The theme for our team this year was ‘REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT’. We displayed our message through placards and taglines on our green T-shirts and caps.
This year for the first time,we ran for a cause- the Nana Nani Foundation, with whom EFL has been associated since its inception through the Nana-Nani park at Shivaji Park; Peace island at Chowpatty and Euro Enviro Parivaar Park at Dadar. Appropriately we have linked the two through the idea of ‘staying  evergreen’.  







During the Dream Run everybody responded promoting the cause of Reducing Emissions and therefore the Carbon Footprint; through the slogans:

Forbes Pro Team gave heavy hearted farewell to two of it's team members- Chetna Kotian & Mandar Khandekar on 14th Jan 2011.

Chetna was with the company for over 20 yrs in the IT dept. and Manadar was part of the Water Projects team, both based out of HO.

Water Solutions Annual Training Program-Manthan

The annual training program of Forbes Pro Water Solutions - Manthan 2010 was held for a span of 3 days, 18th-20th November, 2010 at Pune. It was attended by the qualifiers of “Beat the Heat” scheme and the Regional Heads and Area Heads pan India.

The main objective of this training program was to mould the Eurochamps in becoming a “water consultant” to the customer by providing Total Water Management Solutions from Point of Entry (POE) to Point of Use (POU) solutions.
                                                                                  
Manthan started off with the Eurochamp Anthem which gave an adrenaline rush to everyone followed by an extremely inspiring and motivational opening speech by our Captain - Mr. Imtiyaz Sayyad which set the spirits right!

Dr. Abhay Kumar enlightened everyone on the very first day with a full day session on “Water Chemistry”. This session covered the basics of water chemistry, BIS, water technologies etc. This session was the backbone for the next 2 days because there was a lot more to come for the Eurochamps. The networking dinner saw the peers inculcating their new colleagues with the various accomplishments of the division, company, personalities giving them a glimpse of the legacy etched over a period of time.

On the 2nd day the event was graced by Mr. A.V Suresh. The motivator that he is, Eurochamps were charged up by his presence and his vision to achieve a target of 100 crores in the next financial year. Mr. Uday Gokhale from Waterwings gave an in-depth and rigorous training session to all the leaders on Water Treatment Plants & Sewage Treatment Plants. Simultaneously, Capt. H. Seshadri gave training on all products of Water Solutions to the Eurochamps. All products of Water Solutions right from the AG 200 model to an RO plant were demonstrated for the Eurochamps so that they understand the functionality & technicality of the products in detail. The icing on the cake was the display of Aquaguard Fontis - a water fountain that is specially crafted for airports and high profile public places.
True to the style of true professionals “work hard and party harder” the team enjoyed a gala evening with a “Bollywood Night”.

The last day began with a presentation by Mr. Imtiyaz Sayyad on his vision for the Water Solutions Business and his way-forward towards achieving a target of Rs.100 crores. This was followed by a business review by Mr. A.V.Suresh on the plan for H2 towards achieving the dream target of Rs. 50 crores.

On the whole the Eurochamps were enriched with the learnings in the training program which will make them a Total Water Solutions Provider and a true Friend For Life to the customer.


CTS Eurostar & VDM Launch

EUROSTAR – The beginning of a new era


21st October 2010 was a memorable day for Forbes PRO – Clean technology solutions. In order to compete & gain a larger share of market & customer, Forbes PRO – CTS launched a new range of economical & affordable cleaning equipments called EUROSTAR.
These equipments will be sold through carefully selected channel partners in targeted markets.

This new business will be headed by Mr.G.K.Mathew, a very dynamic & experienced EUROCHAMP who’s been with Eureka Forbes family for the past 15 years. An ideal choice for this position, he will be spearheading the team to make this initiative a huge success.
The 2 day launch saw people coming all the way from Italy to unveil this range followed by an intensive training & hands-on with the machines. The Introduction cum training session was attended by core team members of Forbes PRO – CTS with our CEO Mr.A.V.Suresh.

Organized in a sprawling resort in Bangalore, the launch started with welcome speech given by Mr. Puneet Mishra followed by a presentation from Mr.G.K.Mathew discussing the Introduction & business plans for EUROSTAR.After that, the team from Italy which comprised of senior people from our renowned partners, talked about the range in detail & gave demonstrations of the equipments highlighting their features & specifications. All attendees got the opportunity to try these equipments followed by a session of Q & A’s.

Launching new products is exciting, challenging, and rewarding & as the launch event said everywhere, EUROSTAR – A NEW STAR IS BORN, truly depicts the excitement amongst this team of dynamic EUROCHAMPS.Direct selling has been the forte of Forbes PRO – CTS so far & exploring this new direction of business is a very strategic move by the company in order to seal the presence across all intended customer segments.
With Eureka Forbes seal present on the logo, the EUROSTAR range automatically gets the authentication required for genuine products.

Channel business Initiative Objectives:

          Establish the new line for organic growth as envisaged for the vertical.

          Establish wider geographical network.

          Increase the business value to address the active opportunity in B&C market segments.
                          
          Restrict the growth of competition in these segments by new or current series of products through Channel and improve the market share. 

         Establish CTS brand as a leader in the cleaning industry and there by increase the turnover and profitability of the vertical.

The EUROSTAR range will mainly comprise of commercial & Industrial vacuum cleaners, floor cleaning machines & High pressure jets.


VDM LAUNCH

The EUROSTAR launch was followed by launch session of VDM range of professional cleaning equipments.


In order to mechanize & make cleaning process more professional, the CTS vertical has tied up with VDM, an Italy based company, to sell & market their range of professional cleaning equipments in India. VDM is a company operating in the professional cleaning field since 1980.It manufactures professional cleaning equipment, exclusively designed by its R&D department under its trade mark, in its factory in Arese (Milan).

The range basically consists of various types of application based mops, trolleys & service cars & will be catering to hospitality & building service contractors segment.
The launch event saw a senior person from VDM imparting training & knowledge on products to our team members for almost two days.

VDM range objectives are as follows:

1)       Professionalizing manual cleaning methods in India
2)       Introducing latest hygiene & infection control concepts in critical segments
3)       Setting up a revenue stream with our key customers & strengthening bondage with increased offerings
4)       Encash on Forbes PRO – CTS reach into different markets / segments
5)       Be a complete solution provider

CTS at Clean India Show-24th to 26th Nov 2010



Forbes PRO-CTS participated in Clean India exhibition which was held in Delhi from 24th Nov to 26th Nov. Stall saw a large number of customers, starting from Mrs Shiela Dixit, CM- Delhi, from various segments  visiting & thereby creating lots of avenues for business opportunities.

Some highlights of the exhibition:



1)   With 108 sq mtr of stall area & a very strategic location (2nd stall from the entrance), booth was highly visible to the visitors. Apart from visibility, the color combination & aesthetics was decided keeping in mind the design of the stall.

2)    Stall was demarcated into 4 areas, one for Forbes PRO brand followed by EUROSTAR & FP -VDM range. The fourth one was the demonstration area (carpeted tiles) which was at the front side. The objective of putting demo area at the front was to make visitors see our equipments in operation rather than keeping them just as a showpiece.


3)   We received compliments like “This is the best stall in Clean India exhibition”, “The stall area has been used to its fullest”, “We like the stall & entire concept”, “Very different & unique”.

4)   In total, 150+ customers visited stall & showed interest in product range. People enquired about almost everything which was on display, starting from equipment range, to mops-tools-trolleys to consumables.


5)   Our newly born & promising star, EUROSTAR got a great response with 10 enquiries being generated on getting a dealership/franchisee for this newly launched range. These enquiries were majorly from people who are already into the business of supplying cleaning equipments /consumables.

6)   Some major customers/orders:
a)    Akshardham, Delhi: Mr 60 B (Ride on scrubber dryer) of EUROSTAR range was bought on the spot & the machine was delivered directly to the customer once exhibition was over.
b)    Duster total solutions: The Company is Mumbai based & is interested in the entire product range for pan India.
c)    A2Z Infrastructure services : Delhi based , interested in entire product range
d)    Impressions : Delhi based , interested in entire product range
e)    Jeet housekeeping : Ahmedabad based , interested in entire product range
f)     Service masters clean ltd : Bangalore based , interested in entire product range
g)    UK Facility services : Chennai based , showed keen interest in VDM range
h)    Essar steel : Ahmedabad based , interested in VDM range
i)     Birla Industries : Madhya Pradesh based , very keen on buying ride on sweepers & scrubber dryers
j)     From hospitality segment, customers like Claridges, Le Meridian, Hyatt & Sarovar appreciated the entire range & concept & wants someone to visit them immediately
k)    Clean world equpt company: Bangalore based, very much interested in becoming a channel partner for EUROSTAR range
l)     Uniclean : Bangalore based , very much interested in becoming a channel partner for EUROSTAR range

The Conference aimed to bring together professional engineers, academicians, researchers, industrialists, with interest in Geotechnical Engineering, for exchanging their experiences.
